Singing Parrot

I'll be honest, this is pretty snarky and kinda bitchy. But it made me laugh and cheered me up.

Skating Fugly, compendium of gloriously tacky figure-skating outfits. Some are okay and I don't think they're that bad, but holy crap, anything designed by Johnny Weir looks like a rhinestone store exploded. I love it!

Shibe vs. Roomba

Found this hilarious little video while looking for something completely unrelated on Youtube, and just had to share it. The puppy's reactions are hilarious, from "oooh, what's this?" to "HOLY SHIT IT'S COMING RIGHT AT ME!"

This guy put a picture of a cat on a debit card.

I don't really have anything else to add to this, this just made me smile this morning.

Poor Scrat

Just a little something to make you feel better about your day. At least you're not Scrat the Sabre-Tooth Squirrel.

I ended up in the crazy part of Youtube again...

Video Description: Shakira's song 'Hips Don't Lie' plays for 30 seconds while Voldemort, Snape, and Bellatrix Lestrange dance to it.

THIS is what's offensive now?

So, Mother Jones is usually a pretty reliable site, even though I don't always agree with their politics. And this article was... well, not perfect, but it at least was able to make its point without going way too far off the deep end, although if you ask me, we have bigger problems facing the country today than sexy commercials (uh, SOPA? PIPA? The looming threat of YET ANOTHER WAR?). And then, the bonkerosity got ratcheted up to 11.

So... getting offended by talking M&Ms dancing to an LMFAO song is now what we as a country should be worried about? Sir/madam, I don't think you quite understood what this commercial was about. It was about an anthropomorphic M&M. Dancing around "naked." To a popular song you can hear on the Top 40 radio stations. Oh yes, the silly dancing candy is soooooo much more important than, oh, you know, that bullshit other people are going on about with regards to the government barging into our private lives!

Oh, who am I kidding, the perpetually butthurt will always be much more interested in getting angry over stupid commercials than in actually fixing anything that's wrong with our society.

Soccer Turkeys

I found this hilarious video and thought I'd share it with my readers- holy crap those are some smart turkeys! Although I don't think that one knows that you don't pick the soccer ball up with your mouth (beak?)!

Video Description: Turkeys run around chasing a soccer ball, kicking and pecking at it, while making turkey sounds (gobble gobble, I suppose, although it doesn't really sound like it to me).

No, I'm not dead, I've just been busy and haven't had a ton of time for blogging.

With the Shadow Bolts as the Bad Horse Chorus, Rainbow Dash as Dr. Horrible, and Night Mare Moon as Bad Horse him(her?)self! I'm so glad no one else was home when I saw this because I cracked the fuck up and I didn't really need my family barging in on me asking if I'd taken my meds today.

I have no idea what the hell I just watched.

This video went viral, and it's easy to see why. It's hilarious. I have to say my favorite part was when she literally sings the days of the week. "Yesterday was Thursday, today is Friday, tomorrow it will be Saturday, and Sunday comes afterwards."

Comedy gold!

That said, though, I feel kind of bad laughing at this, but then I feel slightly less bad because it's not some girl dancing around her basement making a music video for fun- it's a commercially-produced, professional music video.

And now back to my paper-writing and regularly scheduled despair.

A young girls/man's feelings in crisis!

To take your minds off of the last angry-making post, here's something funny.

It's the same song, with a guy singing. You might notice a few changes in the lyrics, notably the term "otome" turning to "otoko." Otome means "maiden." Otoko means "man." The other minor differences in the song are female pronouns turning to male pronouns.

I have no idea what is wrong with me, but I found Kusumi Koharu "singing" with this really deep male voice to be hilarious. There's something wrong with me...
